Son of Dr. Chester Richard Brown (MD)
and Edith (Rosenthal) Brown
Paternal grandparents were
Nathan and Becky Brown
Maternal grandparents were
Emanuel C. Rosenthal and
Flora (Hyman) Rosenthal
Was out walking near his home when he suffered
a heart arrack. Born Richard Chester Brown, but
since he was a child actor, took the name Jeff Brown
because the Actors Equity already had a Richard
Brown.
Mr. Brown was survived by his second wife (of fifteen years), Elizabeth (Tobin) Brown and their son, Duncan; two sons, from his previous marriage to Alisa Littell Storrow, Anthony R. Brown and Jeffrey C. Brown, both of Albuquerque (for whom Flat Stanley was written); and a brother, Robert B. Brown of Manhattan, NY.
