Shirley Ann (Hughes) Servatius was born on November 4, 1946 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Olen George Hughes and Virdie Venis (Molder) Hughes. Shirley married Carl Hedrick Servatius on May 28, 1976 in Vista, California and the pair renewed their vows on December 23, 1980. Shirley died on May 31, 2008 in Ventura, California due to lung cancer which spread. She was cremated. She has a plot next to her husband Carl at Memorial Park in Denton, Texas, But her ashes whereabouts are unknown. Shirley's Survivors include two sisters, a brother, two daughters (Darlene Marie Regnier and Deborah Ann Servatius) and eight grandchildren (David Michael Harrod, Rashae Danielle Parker, Amber Marie Harrod, Amanda Michelle Murley, Angela Nicole Harrod, Christina Regnea Harrod, Todd Raymond Ladd, and Shane Carl Ladd). As well as her four Great Grandchildren she was never able to meet. (Aayliah Lyn Parks, Devin Smith, Alexandria Marie Anderson, and Aubree L. Stamper). She was known for her loud mouth and her huge heart.

The poem read at her service reads:
If you knew where I am standing. If you could see the sights I see. If you could hear the angels singing the songs they sing eterenally. If you knew where I am resting you could not cry for me. I'm resting in the precious arms of Jesus. No other place would I rather be. So if you shed a tear please don't shed it for Me.... By Steven W. Perry C.
