John Thomas Conner was born in Alabama on March 27, 1889 to William C. Conner and Malinda J. Crow. The Conner family lived on a farm north of Rankin and immediately west of the Stephen Seaboalt farm.

John married Myrtle Mahala Seaboalt, daughter of Stephen Roland Seaboalt and Ada Gray, on December 16, 1911.

John and Myrtle had one daughter, Maxine, born February 14, 1914. Myrtle contracted Typhoid Fever from drinking contaminated water from a well on the Pete Noel farm. She died of Typhoid on November 06, 1915 at the young age of 22.

John then married Ruby Faye Vinson of Rankin, Ellis County on October 08, 1916 and lived in Waco, Texas where he was employed as a machinist in the railroad shops.

John died in 1968 at the age of 79. Faye died in 1992 at the age of 92.
