Sergeant James R. Brawley, DSN 5926, was commissioned as a Police Officer on 01/171966. After the academy he was assigned to the 9Th, Bureau of Field Operations, and the 9Th District Bureau. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant on 10/28/1979, and then transferred as a Platoon Sergeant in the 4Th District. During his career he was awarded 4 Chief's Letters of Commendation, a Meritorious Service Award on 03/15/1978, and the Department Medal of Valor on 11/15/1978. When he retired on 06/14/1986 he had 20.41 years of distinguished service to the Saint Louis Metropolitan Police Department. Sergeant Brawley was also a veteran of the United States Army and attained the rank of Specialist 4Th Class.

Retired Sergeant St. Louis Metropolitan Police Dept. and retired security guard, Anheuser Busch.
