John Phillip Armentrout, 20 of Harrisonburg, died November 28, 2011, at the University of Virginia Medical Center.

John was born December 19, 1990 in Harrisonburg, and was a son of Tim & Phyllis (Craun) Armentrout. He had attended Cedar Grove United Methodist Church, and enjoyed snow boarding and hanging out with friends. He loved working on and restoring cars. He attended Broadway High School, and received his GED in 2009. He was currently employed with Stone Hill Construction Company.

Besides his parents, John is survived by a brother, Samuel Armentrout, Harrisonburg; a sister, Krista Tucker & husband, David, Broadway; paternal grandparents, Melvin & Betty Armentrout, of Harrisonburg, Welty & Sue Craun of Grottoes; maternal grandparents, James & Martha Blizzard of Harrisonburg;, maternal great grandmother, Irma Wease of Harrisonburg,; a number of aunts & uncles,& cousins.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, December 2, 2011, at the Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg, with the Rev. Gary Zigler officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, in Harrisonburg.
