Age 92, of Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home and a former longtime Crest Hill resident, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2011 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.

Born October 3, 1919 in Seneca, IL to the late Felix and Angelina Borio, she was raised in Joliet, and was a lifelong area resident.

Beloved mother of R. Lee (Linda, nee Wozniak) Bailey; loving grandmother of Laura (Raymond) Heino, Tricia (Joe Fennelli) Hambly, Randal (Kelly) Bailey, Jr., the late Steven Bailey (1997), and Tricia Wajda. Proud great-grandmother of Bailey and Marina Hambly; Christian, Colin and Nolan Heino; Evelyn and Oliver Bailey. Also survived by a stepson, Bill (Jean) Vershay; her sister, Lucille (Stephen) Senko; several step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her dear friends, Rose (Joe) Guardia and Kay (late Stanley) Wozniak.

Preceded in death by her first husband, Randal P. Bailey; her second husband, William Vershay; her grandson, Steven and her siblings.

Pearl was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Crest Hill and the Altar and Rosary Society. She was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting and baking, but nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pearl's family will always remember the friendly staff and residents of Our Lady of Angels who made Pearl feel "at home" the past nine years. She could not have been more comfortable and content.

Funeral Services for Pearl Bailey Vershay will take place at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home, 1201 Wyoming Avenue (near Rt. 30), Joliet, where visitation will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial is celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville.
