MRS. HARRY COOMBS DIES AT HOSPITAL OF COMPLICATIONS
Well Known Woman Succumbs at Indianapolis Following Operation
Mrs. Olena P. Coombs, wife of Harry D. Coombs died Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist hospital in Indianapolis following an operation. Complications caused Mrs. Coombs death which occurred at three o'clock.
Mrs. Coombs was the daughter of Joseph and Katherine Hollingsworth and was born near Lebanon September 22, 1878. She was united in marriage to Harry D. Coombs, well known Crawfordsville man in August, 1896.
Mrs. Coombs illness had extended over a period of several weeks, her condition having been critical for the past few days. Her death will come as a great shock to her many friends here as she was well known in Crawfordsville and vicinity.
Surviving are the husband, Harry D. Coombs; three children, Mrs. Ray E. Harris, of Indianapolis, and Maurice and Margaret at home; a grandson, Ray Harris, Jr., and a sister, Mrs. N.R. Peacock of Darlington.
The funeral services will be held at the Masonic Temple at one thirty o'clock on Saturday afternoon. Friends may view the body at the Coombs residence until noon Saturday at which time the remains will be taken to the Masonic Temple.
