NEW ULM - Hilda "Nippie" Breu, 82, of New Ulm died Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at the New Ulm Medical Center.

Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Saturday, November 26, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm with Pastor Richard Jacobsen officiating. Interment will follow in the New Ulm City Cemetery.

Nippie is survived by her husband, Leonard Breu of New Ulm; a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Rollie Holstein of New Ulm; sons and daughter-in-law, Richard and Kathy Breu of Lakeville, Robert Breu of Faribault; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Laura and Harold Richter, Vera Meredith all of New Ulm; brothers and sisters-in-law, Vernon "Ader" and Darlene Wieland, Harold "Mushie" and Joann Wieland, James and Bea Wieland all of New Ulm.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Alice Robinson, Florence Ginkel, Viola "Ole" Rockvam; and by her brothers, Willard and Norman Wieland.

Hilda Mae Wieland was born May 1, 1929 in New Ulm to Fred and Ella (Meyer) Wieland. She was united in marriage to Leonard Breu on March 15, 1946 in New Ulm. She was employed at Stork Brothers, Oster and then 3M for 25 years until her retirement. Nippie enjoyed following the Twins and Vikings.
