Mr. Smith was born January 2, 1865. He was a meat cutter by trade. He had resided in Canonsburg a considerable number of years. For a time he held a position in the store of the White Rock Supply Co. in East Pike street. He is survived by a wife and six children.
Mr. Smith was a member of the Chartiers (Hill) Presbyterian Church and his remains will be buried In the Chartiers cemetery near the church. The exact time for the funeral has not been fixed, but it will be some time Sunday afternoon.
