Born Feb. 15, 1923, in Trivoli to Luther J. and Corrie Phillips Fisher, he married Evaline Reynolds on Aug. 19, 1945, in Peoria. She died Oct. 6, 2001.
Surviving are one son, Phillip (and Cathie) of Lakeland, Ga.; one daughter, Evanne (and Brad) White of Washington; and one sister, Rozzella Schade of Trivoli.
A World War II Army Air Forces veteran, he was a member of Hanna City American Legion Post 212.
He worked for Caterpillar Inc. from 1946 to 1949 and then farmed from 1949 to 1988.
He was a member of Peoria County Farm Bureau and had served on its Service County Board for 10 years. He also served on the Peoria County Farm and Home Administrative Board and the Peoria County Extension Board.
He was named Peoria County Outstanding Young Farmer in 1958.
He served on the Logan Consolidated School Board for five years.
He was a member of Farmington Masonic Lodge 192; Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Peoria; Mohammed Temple, Shrine, in Peoria. He also was a member of Farmington Moose Lodge 1571.
Burial will be in Penn Ridge Cemetery in rural Trivoli, where military
rites will be accorded.
