James Miller Dies at New Lexington - James S. Miller, 83, a retired coal miner and former resident of New Straitsville, died at 6:45 a. m. Wednesday at the Perry County Home, New Lexington. He is survived by 2 sons, Francis of Shawnee and John of New Straitsville and 8 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p. m. at the Mills & Brown Funeral Home, New Straitsville with the Rev. Willard F. Noce officiating. Burial will be made in the New Straitsville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home at any time.

The obit mistakenly calls him James. Probably because old Doc James Miller filled out the death certificate. He never kept notes. Always in a hurry, put down his own name.
