Patty Ann Berver, a native of Yucaipa, lived in San Bernardino County for 40 years, died Thursday at home from cancer at the age of 40. She worked as a secretary at San Bernardino Valley College for 10 years, was a member of the Latino Association, the California State Classified Association, the Parent Teachers Association, Daisy Chain and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Colton. She received the Gold Apple Award in 1995. Survivors include her daughters, Denise and Teresa, both of Colton, her parents, Ernest and Florence Trujillo of Colton, three sisters, Olivia Mejia of Highland, Toni Guillen and Susan Rodriguez, both of Colton and her grandmother, Rafaela Rey of Bryn Mawr. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Colton with interment to follow at Montecito Memorial Park. Bobbitt Memorial Chapel is handling the final arrangements.
