Graveside services for Tommie Coffey, 92, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, November 23, 2011 in the Rosehill Cemetery. Rev. Earl Whitehead will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Mission Hospice, 505 N Ridgeway Dr # 173 Cleburne, TX 76033, www.missionhospicetexas.com.

Mrs. Coffey passed away Saturday, November 19, 2011 in Cleburne. She was born to Tom C. and Maggie Easdon Whipp on January 12, 1919 in Johnson County. Her father passed away before she was born. Her mother re-married Lon Whitehead, who raised Tommie as his own. Tommie married Hayes Coffey on March 29, 1941 in Covington. She was a member of George's Creek Baptist Church. Tommie worked as a telephone operator for many years. Nannie, as her grandchildren call her, enjoyed gardening, working in her yard, and cooking for those she loved. She also spent time quilting and working puzzle books. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Tommie was preceded in death by her husband, Hayes Coffey; parents, Tom C. Whipp, Maggie Easdon Whipp Whitehead, and Lon Whitehead; and sister, Jessie Skinner.

Survivors include her children, Ronald Earl Coffey and his wife, Juanita, and Judy Hauk and her husband, Charles; grandchildren, Carrie Cooper, Richard Hamill, Johnny Evans, Shelly Holly, and Brent Landers; 7 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Robert Whitehead, Earl Whitehead, Lonnie Whitehead, Pauline Armstrong, and Earline Cudd; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
