Milnor was a son of the late Claude and Gladys Davis Corbin. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Jack, Cletus, Delmont, and Willard; and one infant sister, Thelma Corbin.

He was employed as a coal miner by Island Creek and Consol. He was a member of UMWA District 31.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a Protestant by faith.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; one son; one brother; three sisters; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren .
