The graveside service for Betty Lou Hedleston, 75, will be at 4 p.m. at Batesville Magnolia Cemetery with visitation at 3 p.m. at Dickin Funeral Home. Hedelston died on Oct. 21 at Baptist Desoto.
She was a graduate of Batesville Hugh School, Baptist Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and University of Tennessee. She was head nurse at the Veteran's Hospital in Memphis where she received national recognition for her work with paraplegics. She leaves a son, Andy Hedleston ( Karen ) of Hernando, a sister, Sally Ann Boyles Walker of Columbus; two brothers, Joe Boyles of Batesville and William ( Bill ) Boyles of Tupelo; three grandchildren, Zachary, Jake and Mackenzie Hedleston of Hernando.
She was preceded by both parents, Henderson and Pearl Boyles and two brothers, John and Henderson Boyles Jr.
