Waltman Keith Capral, 60, of Fairmont, passed away Thursday (Nov. 17, 2011) at his home.
He was born in Fairmont on Oct. 27, 1951, a son of the late Walter and Lela Virginia (Davis) Capral.
Keith was retired from Consol Energy, where he worked at the Robinson Run Mine for 35 years. He had also worked as Owens-Illinois for two years. He was a member of Oakwood Road Church of Christ. He was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping, especially at his camp in Elkins. He was a West Virginia University Mountaineer and Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved spending time with his loving family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Karen (Dusky) Capral of Fairmont; two sons, Marty Capral and his wife Misti of Fairmont and Joe Capral and his wife Dixie of Fairmont; and four grandchildren, Hailey Capral, Rayanna Capral, Joel Capral and Raleigha Capral.
Also surviving are two broth­ers, Robert Capral and his wife Karen of Fairmont and Darrell Capral and his wife Coletta of Fairmont; two sisters-in-law, Mary Underwood and her hus­band Mike of Carolina and Beverly Wilson and her husband Bill of Fairmont; close friends, Oran and Ellie Nelson of Morgantown and Dorothy Saunders of Worthington; as well as several loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a broth­er, Walter Ray Capral, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Raymond and Patricia Dusky.
Family and friends may call at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St., Fairmont, on Friday from 1 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 1 p.m. with Evangelist Brent Gallagher officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Fairmont.
