FREDONIA - Junior Clyde Morgan, 61, Fredonia and formerly of Neodesha, died Monday, Nov. 3, 2003, at the Fredonia Regional Hospital.
He was born Feb. 17, 1942, in Neodesha, the son of Clyde and Lenora Leota Seckman Fleetwood.
He grew up in Neodesha and graduated from Neodesha High School in 1961.
He served in the U.S. Marines after graduation until 1965 and the reserves for two more years. He joined the National Guard in 1972, retiring in 1991.
He worked for the city of Fredonia as well as Hackney. He also worked for Prestige Cabinets in Neodesha.
He was a member of the Christ Church in Neodesha.
In June of 1967, he married Judith Clubine in Neodesha. They later divorced.
On May 3, 1986, he married Teresa Matlock in Neodesha. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Robert Jay Morgan, Neodesha, Russell Dean Morgan, Buffalo, and Daniel Wayne Stephens, Neodesha; two daughters, Kandi Lynn Stephens, Chanute, and Brandi Rayanne DelMonte, Fredonia; his mother, Lenora Vollmer, Neodesha; a brother, Jerry M. Morgan, Braman, Okla.; a sister, Annis Cornett, Neodesha; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Fleetwood.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, at Neodesha Cemetery, led by Dave Cheshier. Military rites will be conducted by the Fort Riley Honor Guard.
