Services for Ralph U. ALDERFER, 64, R.R. 4, Rochester (Burton community), who died at noon Monday in Woodlawn hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Foster & Good funeral home. The Rev. Curtis SYLVESTER will officiate and burial will be in the Richland Center I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. A lifetime resident of Fulton county, Mr. Alderfer died three days after admission to the hospital. The son of Clinton and Wilnettie McCLURE ALDERFER, he was born Oct. 17, 1904. He was married July 24, 1926, in Rochester to Mabel POLLEY, who survives. Mr. Alderfer was a farmer and a member of the Fulton County Election Board and the Manitou Moose lodge. Surviving with the wife are two daughters, Mrs. Rawland (Lois) KAMP, Rochester, and Mrs. Harvey (Wanda) ARTHUR, Akron; a son, Tech. Sgt. Robert ALDERFER, stationed in Taiwan; five sisters, Mrs. Earl (Glenn) HARTMAN, Mrs. Dean (Mable) ARMY and Mrs. Florence MORRIS, all of South Bend; Mrs. Angelo (Luetta) MARALDO, Mishawaka, and Mrs. Walter (Edith) CLEVENGER, Rochester. Also surviving are three brothers, Carl [ALDERFER[, of Mentone; Lester [ALDERFER], of R.R. 3, Rochester, and Vern [ALDERFER], of Mishawaks, and eight grandchildren. A daughter, two grandchildren, two sisters and a brother preceded in death. The family requests that memorials be in the form of donations to the cancer fund.
