J. P. JOHNSON, VETERAN TAILOR, DIES AT 94

Resident In Blair Since 1880. Was Married In Denmark

J. P. Johnson, veteran tailor of Blair, passed away on Friday, February 2, at his home on College Hill. Had he lived until March 27th, he would have been 94 years of age.

Born in Denmark March 27, 1851, he with his parents came to America in 1876. Three years prior to this he had married, and to this union eight daughters and four sons were born. The wife passed on September 24, 1908, and on July 14, 1912 he married Mrs. Elizabeth Greeno of Blair.

He leaves to mourn him the wife; four daughters, Mrs. Marie Gossard of Canada; Miss Hansena Johnson, Mrs. Lena Johns and Mrs. Dell Lund, all of California; two sons, V. M. Johnson of Columbus, Nebraska; and Nathan Johnson of Omaha; fifteen grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and three stepchildren, Mrs. Nellie Carter of Mount Clare, Nebraska; Albert Greeno of British Columbia; and Dan Greeno of Blair.

In his long tenure of years has been known for his clean, honorable living. His life, an example of high ideals, was an example well worthy of the highest tribute.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Bendorf Funeral Home, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
