Norman Freeman Jones was born to Charlton Price Jones (b. 1844, Wales) and Mary Louise Conklin (b. 1854, New York). He served in the Army out of Fort Riley KS as a member of the the "7th Artillery" (see 1900 US Census). In 1909 he married Vernie H. Emswiller of Shenandoah County, Virginia. They lived in Prince George's County, Maryland and had no children. After Vernie's death in 1932, he married a second time in 1935 to Elizabeth Fraser Cameron of Prince George's County, Maryland. They lived in Washington D. C. where Norman died.

Norman's birth is based on World War I Draft Registration Cards, 1917-1918 for Norman Freeman Jones Prince Georges Co, MD; b. 18 Nov 1881. Generally, the WW-I registration record is more accurate/reliable than the date on a tombstone (His says 18 Nov 1880). If someone has a birth record, a family bible record, or other record that is better than mine, I would be happy to change the FAG memorial.
