Sadie died peacefully with her family at her side. Sadie was born to Louis and Beryl Winters in Banks, Ore., where she was raised. She married Mike Dardis in July 1962 while he was completing his Pharmacy degree at OSU. Their children were born, Rick (1964), Scott (1966) and Kelly (1969), completing their family. In 1964 Sadie and Mike bought into Brooklyn Pharmacy in S.E. Portland, which they still owned at the time of her passing. When the children were raised, Sadie worked alongside Mike at the pharmacy as a technician and bookkeeper for many years. In 1966 they moved into their only home in Raleigh Hills and lived there for the last 45 years. The home that Sadie created was the center of a lifetime of holidays and celebrations. It was a home that was full of love and laughter. Her family was her life.
