She was born Aug. 7, 1926, to the late Demos and Patsy Taliferro Andrews in Guthrie, Ky. She graduated from Todd County High School attended, Kentucky State College and graduated from Paducah Beauty college in Paducah.
She moved to Henderson where she continued her profession for many years. She joined Greater Norris Chapel Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member for a number of years. She later joined first Missionary Baptist Church to be with her family members .
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James P. Henderson, to this union one child was born; her second husband, Audrey D. Allen; her two sisters, Elizabeth Northington and Jennie Prather; and her brother, Demos Andrews.
Survivors include one son, LaMont Henderson of Henderson; one sister, Willie B. Platt and her husband, Thomas, of Henderson; one grandson, Joe Henderson of Evansville; two great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; family and friends.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Robert Esters will officiate. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery.
Friends may call after 11 a.m. at the church.
