Margaret McIlwain Boozer , the daughter of Oscar L. and Idylette Watson McIlwain , was born Feb. 9 , 1917 in Columbus , Mississippi . She married Fripp Boozer , Jr. In addition to being a loving , caring wife , mother , and grandmother she also was active in her church Artesia United Methodist Church serving as a Sunday school teacher for many years and being a hostess in her own home for participants in a bible study for several years . Wherever she went she was known for her kindness , graciousness , and good character . Margaret McIlwain Boozer died September 16 , 2003 at Dugan Memorial Home in West Point , Mississippi. She was survived by her daughters and son-in-laws Donna and George Lamar and Idylette and Tim Roberson and by her grandchildren .
