Alverda's death certificate says she died at age 47 in 1901. If the informant is correct that would put her birth at about 1854.
Alverda was the oldest child of Edward Lane and his second wife Laura (Frederick) Lane. Edward's first wife Catharine (Harding/Hardin) Lane died 31 October 1847 at age 27. As a widower with two children he married Laura on 3 November 1850. Edward and Laura had three children. In the order of their birth they are Alverda Lane of this Memorial page, Laura Lane and Edward Morris Lane Jr.
After the death of Alverda's father Edward Morris Lane her mother - Laura - married Washington Garner. There were no children of this marriage.
