Rose Calderone Garcia Allen, 85, Gladstone, MO, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 4, 2011 at NorthCare Hospice House. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 9 a.m., Tuesday, March 8, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 900 NE Shady Lane Dr., Kansas City, MO 64118. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Kansas City North. Visitation will be 8 a.m. until Mass time Tuesday at St. Charles Church.

Rose was born September 29, 1925 in Kansas City, MO. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother lovingly referred to as "Mamo". She continues to be a great presence in our family and loved deeply by all. Rose was a member of the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Maria (Greco) Calderone; sister, Ann; and brothers, Mike and Carl.

Survivors include her daughter, Rosemary Evola and Charlie Sellaro; sons, John Garcia and Jackie Covey, Michael Garcia; grandchildren: Joseph and Kelly Evola, Carrie Evola (of the home), Vincent Evola, Rosemary Evola, Maryrose and Michael Solis, Anna and Dustin Nichols, CJ and Saleta Garcia, Mandy and Daniel Light; 16 great- grandchildren: including Nicholas, Vincent, and JoeJoe of the home; sister, Fanny Martines and daughter Rachelle Fisher; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers: Joseph Evola, Vincent Evola, Nicholas Evola, Vincent Evola Jr., Joe Pat Fisher, CJ Garcia, Michael Solis, Dustin Nichols.

Rose will be truly missed and our memories are endless. No time on Earth is long enough to share with those we love - or to prepare our hearts for goodbye.
