Emigrated to America after WWI with help of son-in-law Lewis Merrill. Bombing by the zeppelins was very close. The Jarvis front porch took a direct hit one night. Annie dropped her 'haitches' when she spoke, had the most marvelous pantry full of fruit tarts, and kept the furniture polished like new.
