Flora M. Reese. 89, of 1118 Fremont St., Kiel, died peacefully Wednesday morning, April 5, 2006 at her home with her husband of 68 years at her side. She was the former Flora M. Wagner born November 29, 1916 in Chilton, daughter of the late James & Lela Knickerbocker Wagner. She attended Chilton Public Schools. On April 2, 1938 she married Martin Reese in New Holstein. Flora worked for a few years at the former Hanson Glove Factory in Kiel and was a wonderful homemaker, wife, mother & grandmother. She was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Kiel and the Women’s Guild, a former Sunday school teacher and belonged to a couples sewing & card club. Flora enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren & great grandchildren being very devoted to her family & faith. She also enjoyed nature, music, baking and cooking for her family. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Martin of Kiel, three daughters: Mary (Glenn) Dulmes, Sheboygan Falls, Lois (Stanley) Cozzuli, Menomonee Falls, Alice (John) Ackermann, Sheboygan, six grandchildren, Pauline (James) McGowan, Greg (Kelly) Anhalt, Nicole (Daniel) Meer, Kirk (Kathy) Cozzuli, Marty Marie (Martin) Tomczyk, Christi Ackermann & fiancée, Jonathon Nagode, seven great grandchildren, Tim Anhalt, Brandon Zellner, Alexa Anhalt, Morgan & Alexander Meer, Zechariah & Christopher Cozzuli. She is further survived by five sisters-in-law: Donna Wagner, Madison, Lorraine Reese, Brillion, Josephine Reese, New Holstein, Lucille Reese, Kiel & Betty Sabatino, Staten Island, New York. She was preceded in death by five brothers, James, Benjamin, Douglas, Roger & David Wagner, one great grandson, Brett Zellner, sister-in-law, Mary Toebe, brothers-in-law, Fred, William, Richard, Robert & Ervin Reese, Thomas Sabatino & Sylvester Toebe. Private family services will be held at St. Peter’s United Church, Kiel with the Rev. Catherine Carlson officiating. Burial will take place in the Kiel City Cemetery. A memorial has been established for St. Peter’s UCC Organ Fund. Flora’s family would like to thank Affinity Hospice and all those that provided comfort, especially Rachel Schroeder & Gina for the wonderful care given to her, the doctors, nurses & staff at Calumet Medical Center, Chilton and Rev. Catherine Carlson & Rev. Judine Duerwaechter for their visits and prayers. Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, Kiel is assisting the family.
