Mrs. Maude Lee Alexander, 77, wife of Carville L. Alexander, Sam's Creek, near New Windsor, died at 7:40 p.m. yesterday at her home after an illness of several years. Born in Carroll County, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Warner Strine. She was a lifelong member of Edgewood Church of the Brethren. Surviving are her husband, five children, Mrs. Leighton Schneider and Clifford Alexander, Sam's Creek; Mrs. Frederick Schneider, New Windsor; Mrs. Oden Eyler, near New Windsor, and Talbet Alexander, Westminster; two half-brothers, John Strine, New Windsor and George Strine, Elkton; four half-sisters. Mrs. Sterling Ecker and Mrs. Theodore Brown, New Windsor; Mrs. Earl Green near New Windsor, and Mrs. Mabel Lindsay, Marston; 11grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
