Mrs. Nora Bawcom, 77, of Montrose, died Friday, October 28, 2011 at the Chicot Memorial Hospital in Lake Village. Mrs. Bawcom was a native of Kilbourne, Louisiana and a resident of Parkdale and Montrose for most of her life. She was Miss Ashley County in 1950. She was a homemaker, an interior decorator, the owner of the Decorating Den and she was an EMT with Mainline Ambulance Service for many years. She was a member of the Montrose Baptist Church where she taught the Adult Women's Sunday School Class for many years and she was a graduate of and taught the MasterLife program of the Southern Baptist Convention.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Q.A. & Josephine Reynolds Fuller and a great-grandson, Andrew Payton Wells.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Corliss Bawcom; a daughter, Kathy Coulter; a son, Larry Bawcom and wife, Linda; all of Montrose; three brothers, Leon Fuller of Livingston, Texas, John Fuller of Channelview, Texas & Dwayne Fuller Navasota, Texas; two sisters, Zada Warren of Point Blank, Texas and Bobbie Higginbotham of Hamburg; seven grandchildren, Audrea B. Stephens of Monticello, Christopher D. Wells of Lake Village, Dane Bawcom of Charlotte, Benjamin L. Coulter of Montrose, Brian Rush of Batesville, Shelley Baldwin of Jasper, Alabama and Jillian Bawcom of McGehee and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at the Montrose Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Trafalgar Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Montrose Baptist Church, PO Box 275, Montrose, AR 71658 or the Alzheimer's Association, 10411 W. Markham, Suite 130, Little Rock, AR 72205-1409.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
