Genevieve "Jan" Saylor Hackworth, age 58, of Salyersville, Ky., passed away Thursday, October 27, 2011, at the Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, Ky.
Genevieve was born July 30, 1953, to the late Harrison and Modie Fletcher Saylor.
Besides her father, Genevieve is proceeded in death by one sister, Christine Saylor.
Genevieve is survived by her husband, Lawrence Hackworth of Salyersville, Ky., three sons, Richard Saylor of Salyersville, Ky,, Lawrence Elliot Hackworth of Morehead, Ky,, and Daniel Hackworth of Salyersville, Ky., four daughters, Jeanetta Watkins of Salyersville, Ky., Michelle Patrick of Paintsville, Ky., Gloria Futch of Orange City, Fl., and Shawn Gaines of Millersburg, Ky., four brothers, Silar Saylor of Salyersville, Ky., Ralph Saylor of Mi., Dallas Saylor of Salyersville, Ky., and Elmer Ray Saylor of Salyersville, Ky., six sisters, Evelyn Hicks of Salyersville, Ky., Alma Jackson of Riceville, Ky., Bonnie Howard of Salyersville, Ky., Thlema Gasparac of Salyersville, Ky., Lisa Wallen of Salyersville, Ky., and Janette Perkins of Salyersville, Ky., 28 grandchildren, and 7 greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday October 31, 2011, from The New Bethel Church in Riceville, Ky., with minister Herman Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Staffordsville, Ky.
Friends may call after 5 p.m.. Saturday, October 29, 2011, all day Sunday at the funeral home, and anytime Monday prior to the funeral service at the church.
