Laurabelle Fern Anderson, 87, of International Falls, Minn., passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Sunday, Oct. 23, 2011, at Littlefork Care Center, Littlefork, Minn.

Laurabelle was born Feb. 12, 1924, in Helena, Mont.

She moved to Fort Frances, Ontario, for a short time before moving to International Falls.

Laurabelle married Emil Anderson on March 1, 1944, in International Falls. They met while Emil was working as a taxi driver in the Falls.

Laurabelle was a homemaker, enjoyed making pottery, loved baking, and taught Sunday School.

She loved working in her garden, taking care of all her grandkids and great-grandkids.

She was an active member of First Assembly of God Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil Anderson; three young children, Carol, Donald and Betty Jean; her parents, Alfred and Cleo White; brothers, Alfred and Gaylas White; and sister, Gladys Carlson.

Laurabelle is survived by her son, Dave (Beverly) Anderson of St. Anthony, Minn.; daughters, Sharon (Terry) Friday of Oakdale, Minn., Lynda Tilander (Tom Kassa) of International Falls and Doreen (Dwight) Frahm of Mora, Minn.; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister, Wilma ("Billie White") Phelen of International Falls.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, Oct. 29, at First Assembly of God Church.

Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.
