Augustus Curtis, (B. February 1, 1867, D. March 15, 1916), second son of Salathiel and
Elizabeth Curtis, married Lula McClanahan on Aug. 27, 1906. They had three sons; Arthur, Earl and Fay. Fay died, Jan. 16, 1915, at 3 years of age. Augustus was an ordained minister of the Christian church. After several years in the ministry, he retired and began farming. He also, in partnership with his brother Estill, had a general store in Piqua, Kentucky for a few years.
