Daughter Frances Koester married Sergeant Harold R Wilson October 2, 1943 at Rockford, Illinois.
Carrie passed away at her home in Scales Mound, Illinois after a long illness. Services were held at the Scales Mound Presbyterian Church. Surviving are her husband; daughters Mrs Walter Hammer, Mrs Lawrence Fensterman and Mrs Michael Winters, all of Scales Mound, Mrs Florence Bauer of Stockton, and Mrs Harold Wilson of Macomb; sons Oliver Koester of Scales Mound and Marvin Koester of Elizabeth; six grandchildren; brothers Will Hammer of Scales Mound and Louis Hammer of Apple River; sisters Mrs Roy Schultz(Shult) of Dubuque, Iowa and Mrs Arthur McMillan of Miltonvale, Kansas. She is preceded in death by two sisters.
