March 4, 1862 and was Appointed to 2nd Lt. He was in The Confederate Army with Brothers and many dozen Cousins.

His Description, as follows: He had Blue Eyes, Black Hair and a Dark Complexion. He was a Blacksmith, by Trade., said to have been 5 feet 9 Inches Tall.

He died of Illness in The Nashville, Tn. Area.
His wife was Susan Key Camp., after her death her Father A.T. Camp, raised their son.

The Garrison Families were some of The First Pioneers of North Georgia's Hall and Milton Counties. Milton Co., is now North Fulton Co.

Russell was the Son of Sara Evans and War of 1812 Soldier Nehemiah J. Garrison. He was The Grandson of Revolutionary War Soldier David Garrison from Virginia. David's info is held at The DAR Etowah Chapter, in Bartow County, Georgia.
