...Mr. William Stringer, aged about 40 years, a resident of the Lockhart district, died Sunday afternoon at the Statesboro Sanitarium, following an operation for appendicitis.
...Mr. Stringer, who had been ill for several days, was brought in Sunday morning. His condition was seen to be extremely critical, and an operation deemed necessary. So weak was he, however, that he did not rally from the shock, and he died within a few minutes after leaving the operating table.
