Mr. May spent the better part of his life in Memphis and was connected from his boyhood with the produce firm of Erb & Co., and afterward with their successors, Brantley, Sterile & Co.
He was well known for his gentle manners and courteous bearing and was very popular with his associates. Mr. May was a member of the Memphis Lodge of Elks.
Two sisters survive him, namely, Mrs. C. E. McFadden and Mrs. James Walker, both of this city.
