Mrs. M.W. Bennis, formerly of this city, died Thursday at her home in Butler after a short illness, aged about 50 years.
The deceased was the sister of J.W., M.J. and D.P. Quinlisk, and Mrs. Margaret Ackerd, of this city, and for years lived in Punxsutawney. She was married to M.W. Bennis, a brother of T.E. Bennis, of this place and lived in Butler for many years. She was a member of the Catholic Church and one of the most beloved women in Butler. During her life in Punxsutawney she had won the love and the esteem of all who knew her and death is sincerely mourned.
She leaves her husband and the following sons and daughters: Joseph of El Paso, Tex; Aloysius Bennis and Mrs. Albert Stutz, of Butler; Mrs. Elizabeth Quinlisk, of Butler, Mrs. Thomas Lyons, of Hornell, N.Y., and John Quinlisk, of Pittsburgh, are also sisters and brother of the deceased.
Funeral services will be held in St. Paul Church, Butler, with High Mass Monday morning beginning at ____ o'clock with interment in the Catholic Cemetery there.
