Katherine "Kathy" Marie Forgnoni (Pagano), 71, of Vineland passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, after a courageous battle with leukemia.

Kathy was born in Mays Landing to the late Angelo Pagano and Rose (Delcollo) Pagano and has been a resident of Vineland for more than 50 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert L. Forgnoni Jr.; son, Robert L. Forgnoni III; and daughter, Maureen Lynn Forgnoni; as well as her siblings, Lou Pagano, Nick Pagano Sr. and Margaret Keller.

Kathy was a devoted homemaker and worked as a teacher's aide in the Vineland School District for more than 20 years. She was also a poll worker for the Cumberland County Board of Elections. Kathy enjoyed traveling, but dearest to her heart was spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She was an active parishioner of Divine Mercy Parish-St. Francis Church in Vineland, and a former member of the Sunshine Club. A breast cancer survivor, Kathy was an avid supporter of the American Cancer Society, participating in many walks and events.

Kathy loved and was loved by her companion and fiancé, Robert Gaskill; two daughters, Kathleen Forgnoni and her boyfriend, Tony Corsiglia of Vineland; Colleen and her husband Kevin Cain of Millville; son, Dr. Frank and his wife Tammy Forgnoni of Anderson, S.C.; seven grandchildren, Crystal Forgnoni, Donny Tharp Jr. and his fiancé, Jessy Lopez, Brooke-Rose Tharp, Heather, Courtney and Timmy Cain and Aubrey Forgnoni, two great-grandchildren, Jolea Tharp and Donny Tharp III. Robert's children, Lura and her husband George Hickman, Robbie and his wife Tammy Gaskill and Aleen and her husband Terry Corbin; grandchildren, Renee and her husband Justin Early, George Hickman III, Robert Gaskill III, Richard Boyer, Vinnie Hickman, Bryauna Gaskill, Jake and Randi Corbin; great-grandchild, Takiyah Early; six brothers and sisters, Lena Bucci of Bridgeton, Florence Pagano of Mays Landing, Anna Mae Keller of Bridgewater, Va., Shirley Flath of Alexandra, Va., Rose Marie Pagano of Mays Landing, and Joe Pagano of Sevierville, Tenn. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the Forgnoni family from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 S. Main Road., Vineland, and again from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Divine Mercy Parish-St. Francis Church, 23 W. Chestnut Ave., Vineland. Funeral liturgy will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
