He was born in Wood County, W. Va., had retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. after 41 years service, and was a member of Tallmadge Church of Christ.
Preceded in death by wife, Tennie, in 1980; he is survived by son, Olen (Chris) Archer of Cuyahoga Falls; daughter, Gail (Folk) Pepper of Uniontown; grandson, Van Folk of Tallmadge; three great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, 2 p.m., at Hecker Funeral Home in Uniontown, Rev. Hubert Showalter officiating, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Interment Greenlawn Memorial Park Akron. (Hecker, 699-2600.)
