Frank D. Wright, 76, of Peru, passed away at 2:04 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born Feb. 21, 1935 in Dyersburg, Tenn., the son of Bid and Annie Rose Wright. He married Dovie Mosley Wright on March 16, 1953 and she survives.
He worked at Moon Fabricating as a welder for 20 years and for the Indiana Department of Transportation for 13 years.
Surviving in addition to his wife Dovie are four sons: Ricky Wright of Peru, Frankie Wright and his wife Jamie of Peru, Edward Wright of Peru and Charlie Wright of Peru; brothers Gene Wright of Phoenix, Ariz. and Cecil Wright of Phoenix, Ariz.; sisters Edna Young of Calif. and Janette Glass of Oregon; 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three great-grandchildren and eight brothers and sisters.
A service celebrating the life of Frank D. Wright will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011 at Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St., Peru, with the Rev. Robert Adelsperger officiating. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Peru. Family and friends will gather 10 a.m. to noon on Thursday at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.
