George W. Stark

George W. Stark, 73, of 262 Division St., died Sunday at 8:10 a.m. at Glenridge Hospital, Scotia, where he had been a patient one week. He had been in ill health for the past year.
Mr. Stark was born in Amsterdam March 26, 1894, a son of Charles and Mary Hornbeck Stark, and was a lifelong resident of this city. He was employed by the Bigelow-Sanford Carpet Co. for 25 years and, after the carpet concern moved from Amsterdam, took a position at Amsterdam City Hospital from which he retired five years ago.

Mr. Stark was a member of St. Mary's Church.

Survivors are his wife, the former Lena Sands, whom he married Dec. 11, 1917; three sons, Sgt. Harold J. Stark, U.S. Army, Atlanta, Ga., Richard H. Stark, Amsterdam, and Kenneth Stark, Schenectady; five daughters, Miss Norma Stark, Albany, and Mrs. Martin Kazala, Mrs. Leonard Kaczor, Mrs. Clement Skowronek and Mrs. Walter Casabonne, Amsterdam; two brothers, Detective Victor Stark, Amsterdam, and Charles Stark, Schenectady; four sisters, Mrs. Katherine Costello, Mrs. Warren Paige, Mrs. Robert Murdoch and Mrs. Neil Porter, Amsterdam; 27 grandchildren, six great - grand children and several nieces and nephews.
