Betty Lou Lilly Lackey, longtime employee of the Cushing Regional Hospital, passed away early Thursday morning, October 13, 2011, in Tulsa at the age of 61 years.

The daughter of the late Louie Thomas "L.T." Lilly and Emma Myrtle Reason Lilly, Betty was born on December 21, 1949 in Yale. She received her early education at Norfolk School and later attended Yale schools, graduating from Yale High School in 1968.

She was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Lackey, on April 28, 1967 in the Calvary Baptist Church in Schlegel and to this union two children, Jim and Judy were born.

Betty devoted over 30 years to working at the Cushing Regional Hospital, prior to her retirement a couple of years ago. She was a member of the Council Valley Baptist Church; a member of the Cushing Regional Hospital Auxiliary for three years and raised money for Relay for Life, having raised the most money for individuals for several years. Betty enjoyed playing softball, volleyball, camping with Bob, fishing and spending time with her grandkids.

Survivors include her husband Bob of the home; two children, Jim Lackey of Yale and Judy Pearce and her husband Scott of Yale; one brother Tom Lilly and his wife Bonnie of Yale; grandchildren, Robbie Harris and his wife Rachel of Yale, Cameron Pearce of Yale, Jackie Pearce of Yale and Landon Harris of Yale; mother-in-law, Maudine Lackey of Cushing; brothers-in-law, David Lackey and his wife Donna of Paoli, OK and Kenny Lackey and his wife Nancy of Conway Springs, KS; niece's, Mandi Martin and Morgan Lackey; nephew's, Jeremiah Lackey and Josh Lackey; great-nephews, Cooper Martin and Connor Lackey; great-niece, Laura Lackey; and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Styler; two brothers, Lee Lilly and Jerry Lilly; father-in-law, Jack Lackey; brothers-in-law, Jack Lackey, Jr. and Randy Lackey.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 17, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. in the Council Valley Baptist Church with Reverend Larry Lehr officiating.

Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery.

The family will greet friends on Sunday, October 16, 2011 from 4 to 6 in the Floyd Family Center.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cushing Regional Hospital Foundation, 1027 E. Cherry Cushing OK 74023, in her memory.
