CANTON -- Amy C. Betson, 89, of 244 S. Fifth Ave. died at 1:50 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, 1993, at Graham Hospital.
Born Dec. 17, 1903, in Rushville to Edward and Mary Starr McCombs, she married Richard Franklin Betson on Oct. 22, 1922. He died Dec. 9, 1977. One daughter, Margaret Betson, one brother and one sister also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one son, Frank R. of Canton; one daughter, Mrs. Bob (Jean) Pritchard of Canton; one brother, Maurice Langer of Rushville; one sister, Florence Blackburn of Canton; five grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren; and one great- grandson.
She was a member of First Christian Church of Canton for more than 50 years.
She was also a member of Canton Veterans of Foreign Wars and Navy Mothers Club.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home. The Rev. David Seitz will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the memorial home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society Fulton County Unit.
