He was a retired dentist of 36 years, a member of the Louisville District Dental Society and Deer Park Baptist Church. He was also a U. S. Army veteran of World War II.
Preceding him in death were his brothers, Paul, Norman and Jerry Chinn.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Shirley Caudill Chinn; children, Mark Steven Chinn (Pam), Patricia Louise Rubano (Joseph) and David Paul Chinn (Lynn); as well as 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
