Funeral services for Gladys Lucille Lovell, 82, of Athens will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Spry Funeral Home with Dr. R. C. Craft officiating. Burial will be in Lentzville Cemetery. She died on October 12, 2006 at Madison Manor Nursing Home. She was born on November 16, 1923 near Athens to Claude Delmar and Beatrice (Lee) Blankenship. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard Preston Lovell; her son, Allen Lovell; and her brothers, Leo Blankenship and Williard Bruce Blankenship. She is survived by her sisters, Bessie Davidson of Midland, Texas, and Effie Barnes, Eva Mae Lovell, and Nellie Virginia Lovell, all of Athens; her brother, Clifton Blankenship of Rogersville; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
