Russell C. CHAPMAN, 84, R.R. 5, Rochester (Talma) died at 5:05 a.m. today in the Kosciusko Community hospital, Warsaw.
Mr.Chapman was born Dec. 1, 1893 at Argos to Monroe and Lavina FISH CHAPMAN. He had lived 45 years at Talma, moving from Goodland. His marriage was July 3, 1917 at Goodland to Clara PLUIMER, who survives. He was a retired farmer and carpenter.
Surviving with the wife are three sons, Harold [CHAPMAN], Rochester; Ralph [CHAPMAN], North Manchester, and Dale [CHAPMAN], Mishawaka; a daughter, Mrs. Dean (Helen) MEYER, Mentone; a brother, Merble [CHAPMAN], Tiosa; a sister, Mrs. Harvey (Audrey) COLE, Goodletsville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the King Memorial Home, Mentone, with the Rev. Buel MEADOWS officiating. Burial will be in the Mentone cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
