Sarah K. "Sally" Berry, 65, died at 11:54 a.m. Thursday, October 6, 2011, at the residence of her sister and brother-in-law, Marian and Tom Gross. Born June 8, 1946, in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late George R. and Ruth (Resser) Kraft. Mrs. Berry was a graduate of York Technical Institute, with a degree in hotel management, and had worked in that capacity for Ramada Inns in Chicopee, Mass., and York. She was currently employed as a quality control specialist for Assurant in Emigsville. She was a member of the SGI Buddhist Community. Mrs. Berry is survived by two daughters, Jennifer L. Berry and Patricia M. Beattie, both of York; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marian K. Gross of York, and Barbara A. Kraft of Washington, D.C. A viewing is scheduled for 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 S. George St., York (the former Hahn Home), followed by a gathering to share memories beginning at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to York Cancer Center Patient Help Fund, 25 Monument Road, Suite 194, York, PA 17403; or to York County SPCA, 3159 Susquehanna Trail North, York PA 17406.
