Bryant, Sherrie Diane (age 63)
Born July 2nd 1948 in Addison, Illinois, passed away August 8th, 2011 in Spokane, WA. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Bill Bryant; her four children, Dan Blocklemann, Kimberly Hargrove, Earl Douglas, and Micheal Douglas; four stepchildren, Ric Bryant, Don Bryant, Marilyn Simon, and Sharon Bowers. She has many grandchildren and a great grandchild. Sherrie was a woman of many talents and interests. She was a soldier, a diesel mechanic in the Army, a mother, a friend, a wife. She was a political activist, never backing down from her position and supporting her causes. She was a volunteer for domestic violence and rape victims. Sherrie was part of several community policing organizations as well as serving on the Spokane Human Rights Commission. She loved music and played the fiddle and the banjo with the Mountain Musicians. She raised four kids. The boys learned to cook and sew their own buttons, the girls learned to change their own tires and oil. She taught us all how to look beneath the obvious to find the root of issues and concerns. She loved animals, particularly dogs. She adopted strays and gave a good life to all of them. She will be missed by all.
Visitation Friday, August 12, 2011, from 2:00-8:00pm. The funeral service will be held in her memory on Saturday, August 13th. at 2:00 pm at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home. 5100 W. Wellesley Ave, Spokane, WA. Interment Fairmont Memorial Park
