Houston County Courier, July 23, 2006 Obit for Bobbie Loftin Taylor

Mrs. Bobbie Loftin Taylor, age 81, of Belott, passed away suddenly Tuesday, July 18, 2006 in the east TX Medical Center-Crockett. Mrs. Taylor was born September 15, 1824 in Belott. Mrs. Taylor had lived in the Belott area all of her life, and was a graduate of Glover High School in 1942. Mrs. Taylor served in WW II as a welder for three years before marrying her husband, C. M. in 1945. They spent the next 62 years farming, commercial fishing, ranching and raising their family.
Survivors include her husband C. M. Taylor, of Belott; daughter Cherry Taylor, of Tampa, Fla.; son Tom Taylor and wife Ellie, of Belott; two grandchildren Roxan Taylor and Rodney Taylor and wife Deidra, all of Belott; three great-grandchildren who were the light of her life Tyler, David and Johnny; one foster daughter Gail West and family, of Birmingham, Ala.; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Preceded in death by her father Jim Loftin; mother Dewey Cherry Loftin; and sister Rita Poteet.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Bobbie Loftin Taylor were held Thursday, July 20, at 10:00 a.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Bob Thompson officiating. interment followed in the Cedar Point Cemetery.
