BRACKEN – Violet “Honey” (Cramer), 72, of Belsano, passed away April 21, 2008, at Laurel Crest Manor. Born Oct. 18, 1935, in Sidman, daughter of the late Orange and Elsie (Epply) Cramer. Preceded in death by brothers, Frank Knepper and Abram Knepper, and son-in-law, Darrel J. Hogan. Survived by husband of 53 years, Monroe “Pete” Bracken; and children, Ronda Hogan and Jeff (Jeanne) Bracken, both of Erie; and granddaughter, Nicole Canter, Tennessee. Sister of Tharon (Spurgeon) Adams and Elaine (John) Rummel, both of Johnstown; Clifford (LaVada) Knepper, Illinois; Alice (Ray) Braddee, Arizona; Lynn (Ronna) Cramer, Maryland; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also survived by brother-in-law, Elwood (Dolores) Bracken, Mundys Corner, and sister-in-law, Pauline (Paul) Little, Tennessee. Honey was a lifelong homemaker who enjoyed visiting with family and friends, eating out and playing bingo. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. Marvin E. Lowery officiating. Interment, Pike Brethren Cemetery, Mundys Corner. In lieu of flowers, donations in Honey’s memory may be made to her family.
